Mecca Masjid is one of the prominent and ancient mosques of India situated in Hyderabad and it is one of the largest Mosques in the country too. Makkah Masjid that has been listed as a heritage site transformed as the centerpiece of the city. There was an interesting story behind the name of the mosque, it was constructed with the bricks that were brought from Mecca soil (holy site of Muslims) and so the name Mecca Masjid came to existence. see more
